Maven specializes in building custom homes in Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding areas. Their mission is to create strong communities by building homes that are innovative, efficient, and sustainable. From start to finish, they focus on quality, integrity, and building homes that reflect their clients’ unique personalities.
Maven, previously known as Barner Capital, came to UNANIMOUS seeking support for their brand strategy, including a new name and company logo. The business focuses on home building, rental properties, development, and investing. They wanted to establish a brand architecture that would visually and verbally describe each business unit in a cohesive manner.
Home Builder Branding Objectives
Create a brand architecture that highlights the differences of each business unit
Design a new logo and branding elements that communicate the company’s forward-thinking and customized approach to home building
Develop a lead generating landing page to launch the brand, share available floor plans, and encourage prospects to take action
Branding & Visual Identity Design
Our experienced marketers and graphic designers were able to translate the personality of the company into a newly established brand. The naming strategy came first, with several names being suggested as potential options. Maven, the chosen name, represents words such as an experienced, knowledgeable, or trusted expert. These are all qualities the organization possesses and key points they want to get across to current and prospective clients.
The logo is sleek and modern, alluding to the company's high-tech persona. The logo mark subtly yet intentionally incorporates the shape of the letter M and the shape of a house, cohesively tying the company name to the homes they produce. The new logo and design elements create a contemporary and consistent brand that Maven can use to position itself as a modern and sustainable housing expert.
Branded Marketing Collateral & Stationery
The project started off with a discovery meeting to uncover core marketing elements and insights such as competition, audience, positioning, and persona. This phase prepared UNANIMOUS to design a meaningful brand founded upon intentional strategy. The brand was applied to several marketing materials, including signage, apparel, business stationery, and more. UNANIMOUS created brand identity kit materials, including business cards, letterhead, and envelopes. Signage was developed to place on construction sites, and apparel was designed to continue to bring more recognition and awareness to the brand. Once the brand was established, a custom landing page was developed to create a platform for Maven to build brand awareness, promote their services, and increase leads generated.
