 Since 1935, Columbus Bank and Trust, a family-owned bank, has been dedicated to serving the residents of Columbus and its nearby communities. The establishment prides itself on building strong relationships and providing exceptional products and services to Columbus and the surrounding areas. 

Columbus Bank and Trust’s marketing team approached UNANIMOUS to create a 30-second brand awareness commercial in English and Spanish. The goal was to craft a standout commercial that delivered measurable results. Focusing on the human connection, the UNANIMOUS team captured how Columbus Bank and Trust makes their customers feel. We chose to celebrate the Columbus community, its history, and its people. We also aimed to evoke feelings of nostalgia, hometown pride, and trust, and connect these sentiments to the Columbus Bank and Trust brand.

Video Production

Selecting customers and specific locations for filming around Columbus was a collaborative effort. Once the locations were finalized and the production date was set, the team began working on a script that complemented the visuals and the theme, “Here to Stay.”

With most of the filming scheduled outdoors, the team had to monitor the weather closely. Due to thunderstorms predicted in the days leading up to filming, the video production team recommended postponing the backup production date. This proved to be a wise decision, as the backup date offered clear, sunny skies—perfect for filming.

Upon completing post-production, the UNANIMOUS video production team delivered both a 30-second and a 15-second commercial.

Jeff's Legacy

After partnering with UNANIMOUS to create a series of commercials, Columbus Bank and Trust relied on the UNANIMOUS team once again. This time they used the agency to produce a film honoring their longtime CEO, Jeff Johnson, as he stepped into retirement and passed the leadership torch to the next generation.

Video Production

Following an initial kickoff meeting, the UNANIMOUS team collaborated with Columbus Bank and Trust to identify individuals—both through the bank and community leaders—who could thoughtfully speak to Jeff’s character, leadership, and the lasting legacy he was leaving behind. After conducting preliminary interviews, our team helped curate the final list of participants who best captured Jeff’s impact on the bank and the confidence surrounding Joshua’s transition into the role.

Production took place over 2 days in Columbus, Nebraska, where our crew captured interviews and b-roll both at the bank and throughout the community, including familiar local landmarks such as the school and hospital. In post-production, these interviews were woven together to create a cohesive and meaningful story that reflects Jeff’s leadership and the foundation he built.

In addition to the full-length video, the final deliverables included a one-minute cutdown and a 30-second cutdown, allowing Columbus Bank and Trust to share the story across multiple platforms.
