With the consolidation of athletic programs at two rural Nebraska schools—Hampton Public School and Heartland Community School—the H&H Bearcats were born. H&H teamed up with UNANIMOUS to create a brand that honors the legacy of both schools, stands strong in the present, and provides stability and pride for the future. The goal was to develop a unifying identity that students, athletes, parents, and community members could all rally behind.
Through extensive collaboration between UNANIMOUS and the H&H leadership team, one thing was clear: the H&H Bearcats needed to look like winners. The brand was crafted to create a lasting sense of identity—evoking the feeling that this is exactly how the H&H Bearcats are meant to look. The custom-designed Bearcat mascot is aggressive, fierce, and unmistakably original. Players, families, fans, and the communities that support them are united in declaring: “This is OUR Bearcat.”
UNANIMOUS demonstrated exceptional dedication to taking the time to truly understand the unique foundational values of both Hampton and Heartland communities before crafting the mascot. Their commitment to active listening and incorporating feedback throughout the process resulted in a timeless design that authentically represents both communities' shared identity.
When developing the H&H Bearcats brand, it was essential to design a full suite of alternate and secondary logos to complement the primary mascot and wordmark. This broad set of brand assets gives H&H the flexibility and freedom to apply the identity across any medium—with consistency, creativity, and confidence. From apparel and athletic uniforms to signage, social media graphics, and promotional materials, each variation of the logo was crafted with intention and usability in mind.
UNANIMOUS equipped the H&H Bearcats with an online brand guide complete with a comprehensive asset library to house all digital assets in one place. Brand colors, fonts, logo files, usage guidelines, and more are documented in an online portal to ensure consistency, accessibility, and convenience for anyone needing access to brand assets.
