DAVE – The Homeowner
- Title: Lead Role/Homeowner
- Ethnicity & Gender: White/Caucasian Male
- Talent Ages: Mid 30s – Early 40s
- Compensation: $500
- Character Description: Dave is your average "dad-next-door," relatable, slightly comedic, and not afraid to look silly and sweaty on camera. His A/C has failed on a hot summer day and is resorting to desperate measures to stay cool. Dave will be filling a kiddie pool with ice in his living room and getting into the pool to cool off.
- Audition Request: Headshot + Short Video intro demonstrating being sweaty and uncomfortable, then looking cool, relaxed, and comfortable.
WIFE - Mom
- Title: Supporting Role/Homeowner's Wife
- Ethnicity & Gender: White/Caucasian Female
- Talent Ages: Early 30s – Early 40s
- Compensation: $400
- Character Description: She's the sensible one in the household, visibly hot/uncomfortable because of a broken A/C on a hot summer day, and annoyed by her husband's extreme “solutions” yet familiar enough with his antics to not be overly surprised. Willing to look sweaty on camera with minimal makeup. The ability to portray comedic irritation and subtle, humorous reactions is key. Potential for 1-2 lines of dialogue.
- Audition Request: Headshot + Short Video intro demonstrating being uncomfortable in the heat, fanning self with paper or other household object + slightly annoyed/frustrated facial reactions.
THE KID
- Title: Supporting Role/Kid
- Ethnicity & Gender: White/Caucasian Male
- Talent Ages: 5–8 years old
- Compensation: $300
- Character Description: Directable but energetic and fun. Good listener. Expressive face and comfortable in swimsuit/goggles* and capable of natural comedic delivery. 1-2 lines of dialogue. *Note that talent will be wearing a swimsuit on set.
